The product marketing team at SEVEN® is responsible for marketing activities that promote SEVEN Networks, its products, services and SaaS offerings. This new position extends the team's ability to drive and support the company's accelerated growth.

Position summary

This role will cover the production of content and the planning and execution of activities required to support successful go-to-market efforts, sales campaigns and product definition. The primary focus will be the collection and rationalization of internal and external input to create compelling collateral, white papers and web site content that accelerate the sales cycle. This position requires an independent individual who is able to drive his/her own contribution and priorities and can participate with the rest of the marketing team in the development of the positioning and messaging of the company and its platform for integrated mobile messaging.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

• Create and manage the execution of the Go-To-Market strategy for SEVEN Integrated Messaging platform, including Mobile Email, Mobile IM, Social Networking, RSS Feed and more
• Work closely with engineering and product management teams to update and revise collateral, sales tools, and demos for SEVEN products and services as well their accurate representation on the SEVEN web site and partners web properties
• Support customer and partner sales and marketing activities with content and guidelines on how to best represent SEVEN solutions as part of their offerings
• Responsible for creating positioning and messages for SEVEN new solutions, and coordinating launch activities globally
• Contribute to the collection and analysis of customer requirements, competitive offerings and overall market trends to hone SEVEN's business and product strategy
• Work closely with product management and engineering to rationalize the product roadmap and focus on high-impact functionality
• Participate in outbound marketing activities such as media interviews, blogs, trade shows, and customer presentations
• Interact with industry analysts and market influencers to promote and position SEVEN favorably in product and company reviews

Skills & Experience Required:

• 5+ years experience writing product presentations, white papers, and customer success stories - must be an excellent writer with great communication skills
• 3+ years experience in marketing or product marketing
• Solid understanding and comfort with technology – especially technology related to mobile applications and wireless communications
• Significant marketing content creation, product definition or user guide writing experience
• Demonstrated ability to gather information from many sources (engineers, professional services, sales, executives and customers) and organize it into effective written briefings and detailed sales materials

Strongly prefer:

• Experience selling and marketing to operators and device manufacturers
• Knowledge of mobile ecosystem and mobile operating systems. Experience with any of the following is a plus: Android, Palm WebOS, RIM, iPhone, J2ME
• Familiar with SaaS concepts and related services and operations requirements
• Experience working with a global team and getting organized to support customers and partners located on five continents

This position will conduct product research, formulate product strategy, develop information architecture, and interaction design that will facilitate SEVEN products that delight our customers; on primarily a mobile application and secondary a consumer Website. This position will discover, understand, and communicate the business requirements of SEVEN's products, the emotional desires of our consumer and business customers, and the context in which these two come together.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conduct user requirements analysis, task analysis, conceptual modeling, information architecture design, interaction design, and usability testing.
• Design and specify user interfaces and information architecture using participatory and iterative design techniques, including observational studies, stakeholder interviews, usability testing, and other forms of requirements discovery.
• Produce user requirements specifications, personas, storyboards, scenarios, flowcharts, design prototypes, and design specifications.
• Effectively communicate research findings, conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale both verbally and visually.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure that design specifications are implemented.
• Participate as a contributor to a multidisciplinary team that includes internal and external designers, visual designers, product management, marketing and engineering.

Education Requirements:

• A minimum of four (4) years of user mobile interface design experience

The Senior Product Manager is the leader and advocate, and serves as the principle subject matter expert for SEVEN in establishing and expanding the SEVEN mobile messaging products. As a Senior Product Manager you will interface with software engineers, sales, marketing, business development, executive staff as well as SEVEN's customers and eco­system or technology partners to drive new and competitive products to market, work with partners and design teams to deliver the best in class user experience for the end user. Your success in forming winning solutions while providing best leverage of engineering resources, cost and time to market will have a direct effect on SEVEN's growth and bottom line.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

• Together with Product Marketing drive the definition of next-generation mobile services by identifying unmet customer needs lo identify new target products/markets lo conquer, leveraging SEVEN's market leadership and strong cross­functional teams.
• Drive roadmap, PRDs, product definition and priorities through entire product cycle, including development and QA in collaboration with engineering, sales, customers and partners
• Drive exceptional user experience from concept to screen to be adopted by the mass market consumer
• Evangelize SEVEN products to customers and partners
• Travel required 20-30% of the time

Skills & Experience Required:

• 3 years minimum experience in software product management along with software engineering experience

Requirements:

• Strong technical background, ideally a computer science or engineering degree complemented with strong marketing background, an MBA is preferred.

In this role you will design and implement user interfaces for the purpose of rapid, conceptual prototyping This position will explore and investigate, visualize, and design product concepts working with a small, tightly integrated team of product managers and user interface designers. The product concepts may take the form of high-level, functional models, or narrative animation sequences that communicate several dimensions of a proposed product.
