SEVEN and Hewlett-Packard Australia Partner To Deliver Mobile Email Services

SEVEN's Mobile Email Software to be Resold to Mobile Operators in the Asia Pacific Region by HP

Atlanta, Georgia, CTIA Wireless 2004 (March 22, 2004) - SEVEN Networks, Inc. announced today that the company has signed an Australian value added reseller (VAR) agreement with Hewlett-Packard Australia. As part of the agreement, HP will act as a systems integrator, hardware and managed services partner for SEVEN, and will deliver SEVEN's mobile email software to operators in the Asia Pacific region.

Two of SEVEN's mobile email solutions, including SEVEN Server Edition and SEVEN Personal Edition, will be deployed. SEVEN Server Edition is an IT-managed, behind-the-firewall mobile email solution that is easily and cost-effectively deployed and managed for businesses. SEVEN Personal Edition is a self-provisioned mobile email solution designed for individuals. Both offer users secure, real-time access to Lotus Domino, Microsoft Exchange, IMAP4 and POP3 email; calendar; personal contacts; corporate directories; network drives; and desktop documents via mobile devices and Internet-enabled PC's.

According to Telecompetition's 'Worldwide Mobility Report: 2003', Asia Pacific will lead the world in adoption of advanced mobile data services, with $19 billion in annual revenue and a 40% share of the world market by 2005. "SEVEN continues to identify key mobile data markets worldwide, and focuses on the most efficient and cost effective way to deliver mobile data solutions," said Bill Nguyen, founder and president of SEVEN. "HP is a great partner because they enable us to further penetrate the Asia Pacific region."

HP will be responsible for hardware integration, demand generation and support services. The relationship provides SEVEN with an expanded global footprint. Together, the companies are pursuing business with numerous Asia Pacific operators.

"Being able to easily use the mobility capability that HP builds into many of our products is of increasing importance to many of our customers. This agreement is another step along that journey and in concert with HP's Adaptive Enterprise strategy," said Pathy Pathmanaban, vice president and general manager, HP Services, South Pacific. "We are focused on both technology innovation and integration, and are pleased to add SEVEN's strategic mobile email solution to our portfolio of services."

SEVEN-enabled services are already available in Asia Pacific via the SingTel Group, including SingTel in Singapore, Optus in Australia and Globe Telecom in the Philippines.
