Frost and Sullivan affirms SEVEN's ability to drive mass-market mobile email adoption

Helsinki, Finland - (July 20, 2005) - Frost & Sullivan recognized Smartner with its 2005 Entrepreneurial Company Award. European-based Smartner was acknowledged for its rapid growth and the low total cost of ownership, simplicity and ease of use of its push email software enabling access to corporate and personal email from a wide variety of mobile handsets. Frost & Sullivan Awards are presented to companies that demonstrate best practices in their industry, commending the diligence, commitment, and innovative business strategies required to advance in the global marketplace. Frost & Sullivan rigorously analyses specific criteria to determine award recipients in a broad spectrum of market industries and landscapes (www.frost.com).

In April 2005, SEVEN acquired Smartner. SEVEN and Smartner were both founded with the intention of solving the complexities of delivering email to mobile devices. Both SEVEN and Smartner built their mobile email software from the ground up to help mobile operators address these complexities and deliver simple and affordable mobile email services to their customers.

"Frost and Sullivan has no doubt that the combined SEVEN and Smartner will continue to outgrow the market for the foreseeable future. The beauty of the company's push e-mail software is in its simplicity. SEVEN's focus on minimizing the total cost of ownership and bringing mobile email to all devices classes-not just high-end smart phones-has a real potential to turn push email into a mass-market product," says Frost & Sullivan analyst Andrew Tanner-Smith.

SEVEN has a leading customer base consisting of 46 operator customers across 30 countries bringing SEVEN-powered mobile email services to market. SEVEN also has licensing agreements with the top five handset manufacturers - Nokia, Motorola, Sony Ericsson, Samsung and Siemens - and others to integrate the company's software onto their devices, creating an 'out-of-the-box' email experience for end users. Currently, SEVEN has broad support for all mobile device platforms, including support for 100 shipping handset models. Over 5,000 companies have deployed enterprise-class mobile email services, powered by SEVEN.

"It is a great honour to receive this award. It represents the hard work and dedication of the great people of Smartner. We want to bring the benefits and enjoyment of mobile email to everyone with a mobile phone and an email account, Frost & Sullivan recognizes that to do so mobile email must be easy to use and affordable. At SEVEN, we are 100 per cent focused on making mobile email for everyone," said Paul Hedman, managing director, SEVEN EMEA and APAC.
